Hi, I'm Nikhil Sampat, founder of Nicky Diamonds, LLC. I've spent more than 20 years in jewelry—from manufacturing and wholesale to e-commerce and private client work. That experience taught me how a beautiful piece is built, how diamonds and fine jewelry are valued, and where the details truly matter.
I created Nicky Diamonds to make the experience more personal. You work directly with me, ask every question, explore ideas openly, and make informed choices without showroom pressure or unnecessary formality.

Nicky Diamonds is a private concierge jeweler rather than a traditional retail store. Private consultations and jewelry viewings are available by appointment in Chicago, with virtual consultations also available.

Advance scheduling allows Nikhil to prepare relevant diamonds, jewelry and design options around your preferences, budget and occasion. This keeps every consultation private, focused and productive. If you have an important deadline, reach out as early as possible.

Yes. Virtual consultations are available for clients outside the Chicago area. Delivery and other arrangements are discussed before the project begins.

JEWELRY & DIAMOND QUESTIONS

Both are real diamonds with the same fundamental physical and chemical properties. Their primary differences are origin, rarity and pricing. Nikhil can help you compare both options and determine which best fits your priorities.

A report from an independent laboratory such as GIA or IGI documents characteristics including carat weight, color, clarity, measurements and other identifying details. The report is important, but it does not replace seeing how the diamond actually looks and performs.

Cleaning requirements depend on the gemstones and setting. For many diamond pieces, use warm water, a small amount of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Rinse carefully and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, and contact Nikhil before using an ultrasonic cleaner.

Remove fine jewelry before sleeping, showering, swimming, exercising or using household chemicals. Frequently worn pieces should also be inspected periodically, especially jewelry with delicate prongs. If a stone feels loose, a prong catches or a piece becomes damaged, stop wearing it and contact Nikhil.
